The Rainbow Bridge we know today has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s. It is one of Hawaii's oldest bridges!

Originally, a wooden bridge over the Anahulu Stream connected the historic Haleiwa Hotel and the railroad.

Then, in 1921, a new concrete bridge was built to facilitate the town's growth as new residences and businesses developed in the area.
